Chicago Public Schools Grab-and-Go Meal Sites
Meal sites are subject to change daily so please check this map before you go. All sites are open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. Families may pick up three days worth of meals for every child in their household. ID is not necessary.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
The SNAP program (formerly Food Stamps) helps low-income people and families buy the food they need for good health. Administered through the Illinois Department of Human Services.

Chicago Small Business Resiliency Fund
The City of Chicago has established the $100 million Resiliency Fund, which will provide small businesses and non-profits with emergency cash flow during this health crisis. Funds will be provided to eligible businesses as low-interest loans.

The TANF program provides temporary financial assistance for pregnant women and families with one or more dependent children. TANF provides financial assistance to help pay for food, shelter, utilities, and expenses other than medical.

Free transportation for essential workers as well as free rides or delivery for access to groceries or medical services.
Chicago Transit Authority

Spectrum / Charter Communications
Customers can access internet service free for 60 days with waived installation fees. Broadband and WiFi are free for families with children in grades K-12 or college students who are homebound due to COVID-19. Call (833) 267-6094 for info.
Xfinity Public WiFi Hotspots
Free for non-customers for the next 60 days.
Special notices from wireless companies:
- AT&T has promised to waive late fees and not terminate the service of any wireless, home phone or broadband residential or small business customer who is unable to pay their bills because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
- T-mobile is giving all current T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile customers unlimited data for the next 60 days (excluding roaming), an additional 20GB of mobile hotspot/tethering service, and free international calling to any country listed as a Level 3 during the pandemic.
- Verizon & Xfinity have agreed to waive late fees and not terminate the service of any customer who can’t pay their bill because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Aid for artists
National human services organization (with a Chicago office) that provides emergency financial assistance, affordable housing, health care and insurance counseling, senior care, secondary career development. These services are designed for performing arts and entertainment professionals.
Artist Relief will distribute $5,000 grants to artists facing dire financial emergencies due to COVID-19
Artist Relief Project
Anyone pursuing the arts as a career (any discipline, any level of experience) can request financial support from the Artist Relief Project, which will provide applicants on a first-come, first-served basis with a one-time emergency stipend of $200 and free resources and support to pursue alternative economic opportunities.
Arts Leaders of Color Emergency Fund
All money raised will be distributed to BIPOC individual artists/teaching artists who have met the requirements as stated in the application form. At this time, the emergency fund is only for arts leaders of color based in the United States.

A live-streaming music festival employing artists and providing relief during the COVID-19 outbreak. Each setlist gets $200 per performance.
CERF+ Artists Safety Net
In light of the anticipated volume of requests for assistance, for the time-being, CERF+’s emergency relief grants related to COVID-19 will focus on those infected with the virus that require intensive medical care.
Chicago Artists Relief Fund
An independent group of artists in the Chicago area is more than halfway to its goal of raising $50,000 for local artists impacted by the crisis (including not just musicians but painters, dancers, actors and more).
Chicago Federation of Musicians
Emergency financial relief for members in good standing of the Chicago Federation of Musicians, Local 10-208. Specifically, the fund will supply financial relief to those members affected by the loss of work and wages as of 03/12/20 – 05/17/20 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
